Even though a defender, midfielder or attacker can get off with a few blunders once in a while, a goal keeper?s blunders really are a lot more noticeable. To complicate things even further, modern goalkeepers have a whole lot more attributions than before. They need to coordinate the defense. They quite often have to work as sweepers, and they are able to fire off lethal counter attacks immediately after a clean save.
1 Versus 1 is a very popular routine. That being said, it?s very effective given that goal keepers are bound to become caught in a one on one challenge against an opposing attacker in practically every single game. Add to that, at beginner or youth levels, in which defenses are less demanding than they are with the professionals, 1-on-1s are quite typical for goalkeepers. You need to train them properly.

Mona El-Tahawy explains why President Mohammed Morsi's recent decree is very insulting to many Egyptians who demonstrated against Former President Hosni Mubarak's regime.

UPDATED AT 3:55 p.m. ET: CAIRO, Egypt?-- After Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi received a final draft of the constitution from the Islamist-dominated assembly, he called for a Dec. 15 referendum and urged a national dialogue.
This latest move indicates that the president aims to appease demonstrators who accused him last week of attempting to assume Pharoah-like status after he expanded his presidential powers.
The protests come from both sides -- on Saturday, at least 200,000 Islamists demonstrated in Cairo in support of Morsi.
"The people want the implementation of God's law," chanted flag-waving demonstrators, many of them bused in from the countryside, who choked streets leading to Cairo University, where Mursi's Muslim Brotherhood had called the protest.
Morsi set?the date for a referendum on the constitution after it was hastily approved after a 19-hour session.
Morsi plunged Egypt into a crisis last week when he gave himself extensive powers and put his decisions beyond judicial challenge, saying this was a temporary measure to speed Egypt's democratic transition until the new constitution is in place.
His assertion of authority in a decree issued on November 22, a day after he won world praise for brokering a Gaza truce between Israel and the Palestinian Islamist Hamas movement, dismayed his opponents and widened divisions among Egypt's 83 million people.

Morsi, once a Muslim Brotherhood figure, has put his liberal, leftist, Christian and other opponents in a bind. If they boycott the referendum, the constitution would pass anyway.
If they secured a "no" vote to defeat the draft, the president could retain the powers he has unilaterally assumed.

And Egypt's quest to replace the basic law that underpinned Mubarak's 30 years of army-backed one-man rule would also return to square one, creating more uncertainty in a nation in dire economic straits and seeking a $4.8 billion loan from the IMF.
Morsi's well-organized Muslim Brotherhood and its ultra-orthodox Salafi allies, however, are convinced they can win the referendum by mobilizing their own supporters and the millions of Egyptians weary of political turmoil and disruption.
"There is no place for dictatorship," the president said on Thursday while the constituent assembly was still voting on a constitution which Islamists say enshrines Egypt's new freedoms.

Human rights groups have voiced misgivings, especially about articles related to women's rights and freedom of speech.
The text limits the president to two four-year terms, requires him to secure parliamentary approval for his choice of prime minister, and introduces a degree of civilian oversight over the military - though not enough for critics.
The draft constitution also contains vague, Islamist-flavored language that its opponents say could be used to whittle away human rights and stifle criticism.
For example, it forbids blasphemy and "insults to any person", does not explicitly uphold women's rights and demands respect for "religion, traditions and family values."
The draft injects new Islamic references into Egypt's system of government but retains the previous constitution's reference to "the principles of sharia" as the main source of legislation.
"We fundamentally reject the referendum and constituent assembly because the assembly does not represent all sections of society," said Sayed el-Erian, 43, a protester in Tahrir and member of a party set up by opposition figure Mohamed ElBaradei.
Several independent newspapers said they would not publish on Tuesday in protest. One of the papers also said three private satellite channels would halt broadcasts on Wednesday.
Egypt cannot hold a new parliamentary election until a new constitution is passed. The country has been without an elected legislature since the Supreme Constitutional Court ordered the dissolution of the Islamist-dominated lower house in June.
The court is due to meet on Sunday to discuss the legality of parliament's upper house.
Meanwhile, at the protests, two people have been killed and hundreds wounded in protests by disparate opposition forces drawn together and re-energized by a decree they see as a dictatorial power grab.

Tens of thousands of Egyptians had protested against Morsi on Friday. "The people want to bring down the regime," they chanted in Cairo's Tahrir Square, echoing the trademark slogan of the revolts against Hosni Mubarak and Arab leaders elsewhere.
In the protests supporting Morsi, Mohamed Noshi, 23, a pharmacist from Mansoura, north of Cairo, said he had joined the rally in Cairo to support the president's decree. "Those in Tahrir don't represent everyone. Most people support Morsi and aren't against the decree," he said.?
Mohamed Ibrahim, a hardline Salafi Islamist scholar and a member of the constituent assembly, said secular-minded Egyptians had been in a losing battle from the start.
"They will be sure of complete popular defeat today in a mass Egyptian protest that says 'no to the conspiratorial minority, no to destructive directions and yes for stability and sharia (Islamic law)'," he told Reuters.

"We want stability. Every time, the constitutional court tears down institutions we elect," said Yasser Taha, a 30-year-old demonstrator at the Islamist rally in Cairo.

Measuring 0.7 by 3.3 by 0.7 inches (HWD) and weighing a negligible 0.9 ounce, the 4 Port USB Strip is the lightest hub we've seen thus far, weighing less than both the Satechi Ultra Portable 4 Port USB Pocket Hub (1.4 ounces) and the Satechi 3.0 4-Port USB Hub (1.6 ounces). Whether it's in your pocket or on your desk, the 4 Port USB Strip is barely noticeable. At the same time, however, it's noticeably flimsier than the rest, so while you can carry it around without adding any heft, you'd have to do so with care, lest you find yourself pulling the remnants of a shattered hub out of your laptop bag.
Aesthetically, the 4 Port USB Strip shares a fair amount of design cues with the USB Pocket Hub: Both are constructed out of plastic and sport a black finish alongside glowing blue LED lights. Also, both sport a tethered cable along the lines of the Targus Ultralife USB Hub with Ethernet Port, though the latter's three-inch cable is more ergonomically sound than the two-inch cord found on the 4 Port USB Strip. That said, the 4 Port USB Strip's design has its share of shortcomings. Unlike the other hubs, all of which come with a matte-finished design, the 4 Port USB Strip's glossy black finish practically begs to be smudged. More problematically, all four of its USB 2.0 ports are situated on one side, giving rise to the probability that some will be crowded out when all ports are loaded. The USB Pocket Hub, on the other hand, sidesteps this problem by divvying up its four ports between two different sides.
As is the case with most USB hubs, the 4 Port USB Strip is plug-and-play ready, so setting it up doesn't involve much beyond plugging it in to your computer and waiting for the system to detect it. Like the Ultralife USB Hub, the Satechi 3.0, and the USB Pocket Hub, the 4 Port USB Strip is compatible with Mac (OS 9.1 or later) and Windows (98SE/ME/2000/XP/Vista/7/Windows 8). Moreover, transferring our 1.22GB folder showed no noticeable slowing down in data transmission rates.
Like the USB Pocket Hub, the 4 Port USB Strip's sub-$10 price tag is tempered by the fact that it doesn't ship with an AC adapter despite featuring an input designed to accommodate one. While external power won't be necessary for connecting most basic peripherals (keyboards, mice, most external drives, and smartphones), users looking to simultaneously charge several devices will most likely have to spring for a compatible adapter. On a related note, the 4 Port USB Strip features bus overvoltage protection, which supposedly protects your computer in the event that one of the connected peripherals short-circuits. We weren't able to test this claim out, so we'll have to take Satechi at its word. Still, it's reassuring that your system will be protected in the event that of electrical spike. If the 4 Port USB Strip does somehow wind up frying out at the same time, it's covered by a one-year warranty.
The Satechi Ultra Portable 4 Port USB Strip is an economical solution for users looking for a quick way to expand their USB connectivity options. However, better options exist and are worth pursuing. For the budget-conscious consumer, the USB Pocket Hub features a more effective port layout while coming at the same price. Power users, on the other hand, should check out the Satechi 3.0 4 Port USB Hub, whose included AC adapter and USB 3.0 connectivity justify its higher price tag.

Members of the highly trained ShelterBox Response Team (SRT) were delivering boxes of winterized shelter and supplies to families living in the camp when they met Abdullah, a man who fled the Syrian Army after being forced to fight his own people.
David Webber, an SRT member from the UK, said they first met Abdullah when they were setting up the first shipment of tents. He noticed that Abdullah spoke English quite well, and asked if he would act as the SRT?s guide and translator during their deployment.
?Without [Abdullah], our work here would not have been as quick and efficient ? we now have 500 tents set up, bringing shelter, warmth and dignity to families,? Webber said.
Abdullah was taken from his home in Qamishli, Syria, in October 2010. He was forced to quit studying English at the University of Aleppo and instead join the soldiers fighting for President Bashar al-Assad.
In June 2012, he escaped the growing violence between military troops and rebel fighters when he crossed the border into Iraq. He has since been living in the Domiz camp with his aunt, uncle, nieces and nephews.
?Meeting [volunteers] from ShelterBox has been amazing for all of us here,? Abdullah said. ?Not only do I have work to provide for my family here, but we are also helping my people who are in desperate need by bringing them what's most important to them at this time ? safety and hope.?

To the victor?s auditor go the audit spoils.
But that?s not how the Big Four audit industry game is played now that consulting is again King. What Deloitte would lose in audit fees ? reportedly ?5.422m for Autonomy?s audits during the last four years? ? the firm could now openly replace with guilt-free consulting.
According to filings, Deloitte earned an additional ?4.44m from Autonomy in the last four years for services such as tax compliance, due diligence for acquisitions and other services ?pursuant to legislation?. As the preeminent Big Four tax services provider, HP?s auditor Ernst & Young, HP?s auditor, would likely start doing everything tax related for Autonomy. However, Deloitte was now free to team with Autonomy and all of its technology products as an alliance partner for systems integration engagements. That could be worth billions in consulting revenue that Deloitte?s UK firm, at least, had given up to be the auditor of a fast growing, highly acquisitive technology ?Fast 50? firm.
There are differences in the legislation enacted to restore confidence in audits by the United States after Arthur Andersen?s Enron piggishness ? Sarbanes-Oxley ? and the regulations that govern UK listed companies and their auditors. For example, the UK does not bar an auditor from also providing internal audit services to a company it audits.
Regulations in the US and UK do prohibit business alliance relationships between an auditor and its audit client.? The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) is the UK?s lead audit regulator. APB Ethical Standard 2, Financial, Business, Employment and Personal Relationships, states:
Audit firms, persons in a position to influence the conduct and outcome of the audit and immediate family members of such persons shall not enter into business relationships with an audited entity, its management or its affiliates except where they involve the purchase of goods and services from the audit firm or the audited entity in the ordinary course of business and on an arm?s length basis and which are not material to either party or are clearly inconsequential to either party.
Business relationships, says the FRC, may create self-interest, advocacy or intimidation threats to the auditor?s objectivity and perceived loss of independence.
Examples of prohibited business relationships include ?arrangements to combine one or more services or products of the audit firm with one or more services or products of the audited entity and to market the package with reference to both parties or distribution or marketing arrangements under which the audit firm acts as a distributor or marketer of any of the audited entity?s products or services, or the audited entity acts as the distributor or marketer of any of the products or services of the audit firm.?
In 2010 Autonomy was named a Deloitte UK Technology Fast 50 company, one of the UK?s fastest growing technology companies. Deloitte UK was officially prohibited from jointly marketing its consulting services with Autonomy or reselling Autonomy?s products such as IDOL or popular products acquired while it was the auditor of Autonomy. ?Popular Autonomy software includes Interwoven, Verity, and Meridio for government and defense contractors. ?That must have been tough.
But that didn?t stop the consulting practices of other Deloitte member firms all over the world from taking advantage of the popularity of Autonomy products to boost their revenues. In March of 2011, less than six months before HP announced its acquisition of Autonomy, Deloitte Luxembourg announced it had selected Autonomy?s Intelligent Data Operating Layer (IDOL) as a vendor ??to better manage information and knowledge within the firm to increase productivity.? In addition, Autonomy would further collaborate with Deloitte to ?fast-track its technology to Deloitte Luxembourg?s extensive customer base??
Deloitte UK, and its fellow Deloitte firms all over the world, are allowed to be customers of an audit client of one of them such as Autonomy ?in the ordinary course of business?. They are customers of Autonomy. Autonomy lists Deloitte entities and Ernst & Young, HP?s auditor, as customers on numerous websites and in marketing materials and case studies. In 2011, digital agency Roundarch, founded in June 2000 by Deloitte and WPP, also selected Autonomy?s cloud-based comprehensive data backup and recovery solutions for its own operation. This privately owned company was operated by its senior management until February 2012 when Aegis Group plc acquired the digital agency. The Aegis Group plc auditor is Ernst & Young.
But were Deloitte non-UK member firms allowed to sign marketing and reselling contracts as Autonomy alliance partners while Deloitte UK audited this multinational company with customers all over the world? Email requests for comment from HP and Deloitte were not returned.?When it comes to irresistible consulting revenue growth, an audit firm?s ?network of seamless service providers? bound by independence and objectivity regarding the audit of a multinational listed company stops at each border.
In the largest market for Deloitte?s consulting services, the United States, Deloitte Consulting?s US arm and Autonomy worked together prior to HP?s acquisition and after on one of the most high profile e-discovery and document management cases ever ? the litigation over the BP Gulf oil spill. Autonomy, or rather a version of an Autonomy acquisition called Introspect, was used for the enormous BP Deepwater Horizon review, which employed more than 800 review attorneys at one point.
The BP Deepwater Horizon review started in the summer of 2010, after the explosion in April of that year. Deloitte was the case management consultant working between the client (BP), the review team and the hosting vendor (Autonomy). It is not clear if this was a joint project between Deloitte and Autonomy, with Deloitte acting as a systems integrator for the software, or if the parties contracted separately.
According to a source close to the BP engagement, the Autonomy software was a total disaster. The larger the review got, the worse the software performed.??Searches would hang up for long periods of time, document images would get out of synch with their corresponding coding records, the entire system would crash or have to be taken offline to be reset.? You name it ? when it came to software problems, Autonomy had them all at one time or another.?
According to the source, BP?s E-discovery manager made the selection because Autonomy was, supposedly, one of only two platforms potentially scalable to the enormous database they anticipated.?But, without exception according to the source, everyone from the project manager to the average document review attorney was aggravated by the experience of trying to use the Autonomy product.
Previous business alliances by Deloitte member firms with Autonomy?s Interwoven and Verity products for system integration and reseller revenue may or may not have properly ceased in the UK when the firms were acquired and may have never ceased outside of the UK. The case studies and press releases are still on the Autonomy website now under the HP logo.
Deloitte has always been an important systems integration partner for HP. Deloitte has won numerous partner awards from HP over the years, including the most recent one, for the revenue growth enjoyed by both. As soon as HP bought Autonomy, Deloitte was free to publicly sign alliance agreements with Autonomy for all of its products. Deloitte member firms are hiring all over the world for the expertise to implement Autonomy?s software. Deloitte Consulting and its global member firms enjoy the highest possible Autonomy partner status, worth millions if not billions, as integrators of Autonomy products.
HP Autonomy: Deloitte?s Content Management practice includes one of the most experienced and highly regarded advisory and implementation service organizations in the world. HP Autonomy supports the information management for many of these projects.
Not a bad consolation prize for losing the Autonomy audit to Ernst & Young and for any litigation settlement they may, or may never, pay for Autonomy?s alleged fraud.
